My presentation

Today is Decembre 20 and I were going to make a presentation. The thruth is that I was very nerve. I was not able to remember all the text, althought I have studied it a lot of.

My presentation about manufacturing plastics are very interesant. I worked in the section of plastics in AIJU the month week and I was able to collect a lot of information.

In conclusion, I am proud of my presentation but I could have done better. I will try to control my nerves next time. My opinion about the subject is satisfactory.

I have enjoyed a lot of this blog and I have learned infinite words and expresions. This blog helped me with the english language and I am satisfied with the result. In summary, I have liked the subject in generally.

First day of presentations

Hello bloggers! This week, some classmates of English 2 were doing your presentation of the project. The truth, they were very nervous and doubtful. Although, I enjoyed a lot of your presentations.

It had interesting projects. The theme of a project was Formula one, that is very interesting and historical. Also, they were speaking of many personalities from the automobile.

Other group made a presentation about the color psychology. The visuals was of the differents colours, what was very ingenious. They spoke of the different colours (red, orange, yellow...) and they comparing them with diferent things.

I hope to be quiet on Monday, as it is my oral presentation. Above all I want to speak very clear and I give a good impression. After I have finished my presentation I will reassure me.

I congratulate all my colleagues because they did a great job!

Pollution

The unit five in English 2 is pollution. The last tuesday We were doing reading and comprehension, listening and other things. We were learning a lot of vocabulary and we were practicing exercises.

The pollution is avoidable, but we don't help. It is a problem worldwide and everyone need to be aware.

In addition, pollution causes instability, disorder, harm to the ecosystem. There are a lot of types of pollution.

In the air:

A lot of particles from industrial activities, chemicals, biological materials. These particles cause damage environment, humans...

In addition, air pollution is a the world's worst pollution problems.

Noise pollution:

Noise pollution is very displeasing human. On many ocassions, it produce nauseas and dizziness.
Most noise comes from: Motor vehicle noise, aircraft noise, car alarms, emergency service sirens, mechanical equipment, fireworks, groundskeeping equipment, barking dogs, appliances, electric megaphones...

Water pollution:

This pollution affects plants and organisms, that live in the water.
It is very damaging . Water pollution occurs when pollutants are discharged in the water.

In conclusion, I can say that we have to control the environment.

December

Today, it is start the month of December. It is last month of the year. It have a length of 31 days. Most people enjoy holidays in this month.

During this period, there is a very important holiday: Christmas. This festivity have a special day, that is December 25. That day, all families do a family meal and they sing a lot of carols.

In addition, Santa claus visite us and he bring a lot of gifts. All children await Santa claus with enthusiasm. It is a beautiful day for me and I hope to be with all family. I always buy presents for my family.

Also, I dance in the traditional celebrations of my town. It is a important festivity of Ibi. We dance traditional dances and we dress in appropriate clothing. It is a beautiful party and I am delighted to celebrate the history of my town.

Another popular event is "Els enfarinats". On the 28th of December, a group of men joked with the people and full all the Corners Village of flour and eggs.  Every year they come out on TV.

Bussines

A business  is a legally recognized organization designed to provide goods, services, or both to consumers or tertiary business in exchange for money. The business, like much else is a matter of debate very broad and debatable.

The unit three of English 2 is Business. We were studying reading and comprehension about brand, developing brandsn, synonyms, etc.

We were today reading a text about marketing to teenagers. In summary, this text speak about that our life is being studied. In this text, it explain situations involving "Shampoos and computers" and "Portal of the segment". After, we searched synonims in the text.

Also, We were doing listening and exercises about the presentation of clothing company. This clothing company sell clothes for men and women.

Finally, this unit have a vocabulary very broad, what is very dificult because we don't utilize.

Telephoning

I am writing about telephoning. Today in class we have realized the practice of classroom 5. The phone conversations in English are difficult for me.

It is very different talk to the phone with a friend, client, unknow, etc. We were learning telephone terms, telephone language and telephone tips.

It need to learn the common phrases, language, that are used on the telephone. There are a number of phrases and idioms that are only used when telephoning.

In adittion, we worked in pairs to create a telephone conversation by using some ideas . Ideas consists of: to contract a trip, to buy computers for his company,  to sell a product .

In conclusion, I can say that I have a lot of difficulties with these conversations. If I dominate the language, I will speak to telephone correctly. However, I need most is practice and I need to do a lot of exercises.

All world need to know that: If you wanted to learn, we would practice much.

Modal verbs

I and my partners of university studied the modal verbs this week. Ana has prepared several exercises for us. I am doing the exercises and I learn a lot of with them.

 A modal verb is a type verb that is used to indicate modality. These verbs are used for all type situations and they can only be used with an verb .

There are ten modal verbs in English. Altough they are very different and each is used in different things.

The modal verbs are clasified in various groups. For example, some modal verbs indicate ability (as the verb can), necessity (as the verb must)...

I can write sentences with ease, because the modal verbs are very simple and practical. Also I had repeatedly utilized numerous modal verbs in my redactions.

In conclusion it can say that it exist a lot of verbs, but the modal verbs simplify the phrases and sentences perfectly. So the spanish population must learn these verbs and dominate them.

Computers

Today I write about the lastest technology, the computers. A computer is a interesant machine, which can help with several aplications. Some aplications are: search information about any topic, buy products, consult the time, etc . This machine provides results and information in a usual format.

There are two types computers: Desktop computer and laptop.

On the one hand, laptop is a personal computer designed for mobile use, for this reason it is very interesting and useful for the workers, who travel. Moreover, It can be many sizes. We can utilize laptops very small so we have space for other things. These computers are: very lighter, smaller and cheaper.

On the other hand, desktop computer is a full machine, which has a long memory. In my opinion, the desktop computer is the best computer and I utilize it at all times.Most modern desktop computers have separate screens and keyboards.

Finally, I want to stress the tecnology. It changes continuously but I hope that the computers will exist always. I am not able to know all parties of computer, but I know is very important this type of things in the society. You enjoy a lot of computers, because they are really impressive. In my free time, I love to conect internet.

October's

October is ending and the winter is reaching. It is the tenth month of the year and it have thirty days. October is associated with the season of autumn.

I have been busy recently and i haven't had time to enjoy of this wonderful month. Although I have admired all the landscapes offered by this month.

Within two months is December, what is very cold and beautiful. The Christmas comes in a month and a several familes begin to be interested and excited. Many of its popular celebratory customs include gift-giving, music, an exchange of greeting cards, church celebrations, a special meal, and the display of various decorations including Christmas trees, lights, garlands, mistletoe, nativity scenes, and holly. The holiday has become a significant event and a period very significant.

Halloween is annual another holiday , what is celebrated October 3. The people dress with  related cloths with ghosts, witches... Also the children and  a few adults go by all the houses and they trying to get sweets and money. I and my friends prepare a large party all years and we do a lot of fear games.

In conclusion, October always is a funny month and we have to enjoy of this excellent time. I hope to enjoy November because I have not had so much fun in October. Also I hope Christmas excited.

 

 

Oral presentation

The Oral presentations are very complicated for me. I have learned some things about these presentations this week.

The people often used the presentations in: congress, presentations of the class, conferences, meeting...

The visual material (pictures,transparencies, digital slides), what have help the compresion , is very important and significant. They can also help the audience to follow your presentation and help you to present information .The visuals must transmit your point clearly and simply.

Moreover, in your presentation, You need to avoid shyness and nerves. You have to be ordered, insurance, nice and attentive. Don't memorize

On the hand I agree with tactics of presentation, although I can't control my nerves. I have learned many words of vocabulary and language of the presentations. I am confused with this words, but I will expose a good presentation at end for year.

In conclusion, I can say that we need to forget fear and shame in the oral presentations.

9 October

I haven't went to class this week because this monday was 9 October. This festivity is very important in Valencia and the valencian people do not work.

Moreover the people of the towns  cook a Valencian rice dish and all habitants eat the rice.

Finally, I think that this day of party is very traditional and emotional but that day is interesting for my because I don't go to the university.

Relative Clauses

We use relative clauses to give additional information about something without starting another sentence.

I have studied the relative clauses, this week. Ana, who is our teacher of English, said we would repase verbs tenses and relative clauses.

The English is the language most often studied as a foreign language in the European Union. In my opinion the english is essential in our society, although I have difficulties with the language. For example, I don't understand the listenings of the " Practicas de aula". Despite this , I have to learn a lot of English.

When I study more to I can to dominate the idiom. I have always had many problems with languages so I have a level very low.

The theoretical classes are very diferent as these are entertaining for my. I study vocabulary of materials.

In conclusion, I have been a good week but I have reviewed a lot of things. I will try to study this subject much and I will get to be perfect english talkative.

Materials

Hello I am going to speak about the types of materials today. I study engineering technical industrial especializing on chemistry. The materials can be: Metals, plastics, thermoplastics, thermosetting plastics ...

I have learnt characteristics and peculiarities of the different materials on this week.

On the one hand  the materials most importants for the chemical are in the periodic table. The elements of the table are: Hydrogen, lithium, magnesium, gold, calcium, iron ... The table divide it into eighteen colums and seven ranks.

The periodic table of the chemical elements is a tubular display the chemical element. The chemical elements are grouped: transition metals, poor metals and metaloids. Other informal groupings exist, such as the platinum group and the noble metals.

In conclusion, I can say that the materials are essentials in the engineering and everyday life.

Carolina

Hello, I am Carolina a spanish student of polytechnic university of Valencia faculty of  EPSA. I study in Alcoy because my selective note was bad and I couldn't studying in valencia for this. I was born on 25 February 1989 in Alcoy so I am 21 years old. I am slim and small. I have short dark hair and my eyes are big and brown. My favorite music is the pop music and rock and roll, and I listen this music all the time.

On the other hand I am good student although I can't concentrate easily.

Morevoer I have two brothers, David and Fernando . My dad works as a mechanical and my mother works in the house. We are a large family and very traditional.

I study English II this year because I'm going to Poland at January with the Erasmus scholarship. The photo of the building is my university in Poland ( Politechnika Warszawska ). The university is important and the standard of this politechnika is very high.
